Kirtland Kitchen and Dining Remodel by Dever Design & Build

Even the folks at This Old House would be amazed at this homes underlying challenges, but the end result was once again a stunning transformation. After demolition work was completed, the bones of the house needed an orthopedic surgeons touch for sure, the ceiling framing was sagging, the floor joists were severely out of level, and some of the walls were not plumb… other than that, no problem. However, we did discover that there was a mice infestation, some wood rot to be repaired, and electrical that was a mess. We had to sister new ceiling joists to straighten out and better support the sagging ceiling, add furring to plumb the walls and fix the out of level flooring as best as possible. We also installed a new electric sub panel in an adjoining closet for the kitchen circuitry, and clean up the electrical violations running throughout the kitchen, crawl space and second floor areas. Oh, we also needed to re-work most of the kitchen plumbing lines as well. All hidden structural, mechanical and insulation needs were repaired and updated, giving our clients peace of mind. Here are some of the products that we installed: Homecrest Kenosha Hickory cabinets in Fallow and Homecrest Kenosha cabinets in Vanilla (for the peninsula), Calacatta Valation quartz countertops, Elkay Daytom stainless steel under-mount sink, Moen Sleek pull-down one-handle faucet in matte black, Casablanca White 4×4 glossy backsplash tile, Wesford White Oak- Casecase engineered wood flooring, and Simonton Pro-finish 8’ wide slider door unit.
